I promise you that wellness is a whole lot more than water with lemon and herbs. It's more than doing a yoga session and it's ever-changing, daily. What does wellness look like?
Wellness is not only being free of disease, illness, or stress but also having a purpose in life, being emotionally healthy, taking an active involvement in your work and in your leisure time, having joyful relationships and being happy. Wellness involves all aspects of your life beyond your physical health.

Being free of disease, illness or stress
This is not always possible but are you doing everything you can to prevent disease, illness and stress? Most of us do, but you must be consistant? Always wash your hands, don't smoke, eat well and find what you love doing. Move your butt and try not to stress about things you have no control over. Did you know 90% of what we stress about never happens! We make up these scenarios in our heads but it mostly never comes to fruition.
Having a purpose in life
God, I cannot tell you how much I have come to realise that this is one of the most important aspects of wellness in your life. It's like breathing or water, we all need purpose. I think being emotionally healthy goes hand in hand with having joyful, strong relationships with loved ones and with other people in the world. Be open, everyone has the right to be who they want to be. Connect with people, everyone has a story. Reach out to those you love with genuine love and respect. Actually listen to people, humans are fascinating. I have met so many amazing people through travel and through being an emergency medic. I have seen some really terrible things but I have also forged powerful connections with other humans and made them feel a little better.
There are so many other aspects of wellness and your Ikigai. Do you love your work (I LOVE my work) so technically, I have never worked a day in my life because I love what I do. You also need to rest, play, move and keep reminding yourself that wellness really does go beyond physical health.
